Post Lockdown Visit to BarBeque Nation, Diamond Plaza

Okay, wait before you jump into any conclusions that how ignorant these people are and all, I would request you to stay glued to the post till the last word. Your all queries and confusions will be resolved hopefully. 😀 Let me put it that way, I am an avid BarBeque Nation lover, You must be thinking I may have enough money , No I really don’t but as you all know I am a big foodie, BarBeque Nation is one of my favourite joints for which I actually do my savings so that in a year for at least one time I can visit this place.😍 BarBeque Nation outlet in Diamond Plaza Mall is usually my go to place as its nearby to my area. Though I have visited Park Street and Salt Lake outlets too. More or Less the menu remains same so the place doesn’t bother me much.

Now come to the main part, like every year this year also I have been waiting for this for a long time. But the LOCKDOWN (As the name is by now quite famous and we are even aware of part-1, Part-2 and so on) forces me to cancel my plan. The situation basically is driving us mad in a way, Corona’s effect is increasing, People are losing their jobs, none is happy basically or feeling secure. And I decided the moment Lockdown would end I would definitely visit that place, So I did. And let me tell those 4 hrs probably has given me the good time I will cherish forever as it has given me the sense of breathing after a long period.

PRECAUTION TAKEN BY BARBEQUE NATION, POST LOCKDOWN

Without Thermal Scanning and using hand sanitizers you are not allowed to enter the restaurant. And that is quite normal and its being maintained by many places. But when you enter you will see few tables are having a cross mark that to tell you, you are not allowed to sit on those, So KEEP THE DISTANCE part they are seriously taking care of. One will guide you to the table before you sit on that they will sanitize everything in front of you including the sofa and cushions, the grill area. After that they will put a sticker of, “I AM SANITIZED” on the table and now you are safe to have the delicious food.

Yes, few changes you will come across when you are going to visit this joint now after post lockdown. Those who know everything about BarBeque Nation they know that they provide a welcome drink in the beginning. But this time they offered me a drink which was basically an immunity booster drink but honestly very bad in taste. 😐You get to see all the staffs wearing masks, gloves and caps and their that particular day’s body temperatures are also written along with their Id-cards. Now it’s time for the menus. 😋

As you all know BarBeque Nation’s specialty lies in its starters and desserts. And I am mad about the options they offer in their starters.

STARTERS

After you settle down they will ask you about your preferences as in Veg or Non-Veg, We obviously go for Non-veg, though you can try their veg items too. Among Veg items there are few which are worthy enough to be mentioned, CAJUN SPICES POTATO, GRILLED PANEER, as well as GRILLED PINEAPPLE. As you all know they offer live grill counter, there you will not get much variety though but whatever they provide are awesome in taste. GRILLED CHICKEN, GRILLED FISH,

PRAWN GRILLED and among these my personal favourite is their grilled fish, it’s like ‘AH-mazzzing’😋😋. You will be also served with crispy corn which are equally delicious, Mutton Seekh Kebab and Chicken Wings. And the best part is you can keep ordering till the time your taste buds are not satisfied. 😍

MAIN COURSE

Previously after finishing your starters these words were common “There is a buffet out there, You can get the food of all your choices” but now things have changed .After post lockdown, in order to maintain the safety guidelines now they are going to provide you the main course at your table.

To keep it contactless
 all you have to do is to opt from the options of food given in your mobile (through the link sent to you by BarBeque Nation) and they will present those in front of you. At the time of ordering please make sure about the quantity of food you want as they are providing the food in quantity as per one individual.

Though you can ask for more whenever you want. We have ordered Chicken Dum Biriyani, Mutton Rogan Josh, Plain rice and Butter Chicken. They also have Chinese in the menu which you can give a try. Taste wise all the foods seem quite similar to the previously tasted ones. You may feel that the biriyani is not like the biriyani you often see everywhere. But I can assure you on the fact that this biriyani can be a good option for the people who are more concerned about their health.

You can also celebrate your birthday, anniversary, office party there with a cake provided by them, though it’s complementary.😃

DESSERTS

Now again the best part of Barbeque Nation, its desserts. They have numerous of options in this. You can order as many as your taste buds can have.Try Angoori GULAB JAMUN along with Ice-Cream with Chocolate sauce as topping once and I can bet you that it’s going to be your one of favourites forever. And you can also try BROWNIE, MOONG DAL HALUA, FIRNI, BUTTERSCOTCH PASTRY and many more.  😋. Next up is their LIVE KULFI COUNTER, though because of the situation now it’s also going to be served at your table. There you can opt for COCOLATE, KESHAR, MALAI, MANGO, all the flavours of Kulfi. But let me tell you

PAAN KULFI is one of the hot favourites among people. If you haven’t tried it, Try it once.

BILLING

Now we have come to the last part of our three-course meal along with our blog post
 😄. Previously after asking for the bill they used to give options like by card or cash. But when this time I have visited Barbeque Nation, They again have impressed me by telling that through the app I can pay my bill so, again contactless. I have made payment through that link shared by them. And You know the proverb, right?
