LITTLE DARJEELING - A NEW ROOF TOP CAFÉ AT KHARDAH

LITTLE DARJEELING - A NEW ROOF TOP CAFÉ AT KHARDAH

Change is the only constant, and that all of us know. With time, people’s choices also get an updatation or transformation. Nowadays people prefer visiting different cafés rather than restaurants for hanging out with friends or for a normal official meetings. That doesn’t mean the restaurants remain empty these days. 😆 As per I feel, cafés give a very cosy ambience and you can spend hours after hours sipping in your hot coffee and doing your work. In other cities different cafés are given as workstations to the freelancers at an hourly rent.👍 Though this kind of concept related to café has not yet reached to Kolkata. And about the suburbs there are actually a very few decent cafés. Today Kolkata’s Trending will take you to a café which has Darjeeling in it 😀, just kidding! this café is the only café probably here which you can call as roof top café. By the title you guys have got the idea obviously. Those who have already visited this joint ,they know it’s the only one roof top café at and around Khardah. Those who are still unaware of it’s existence, don’t worry ,here you will be given every details of the same.😍 And I am talking about “Little Darjeeling”- a new roof top café at Khardah.

LITTLE DARJEELING - A NEW ROOF TOP CAFÉ AT KHARDAH

The first time when I heard about this new roof top café , I had decided to visit this café at least for once. And so I did 😉. This café is constructed by taking a roof of a house, the roof is two- storey as you can see in old houses. It’s easy to locate as it’s close to Khardah station. Whenever you visit this joint , I would suggest you to take a little more time in your hand as having food in this café may take time. During the rush hours you will have to be standing in a queue. This particular joint is run by a couple. They are very humble and cooperative at the same time. The moment you enter the café the minimalistic décor would definitely make you fall in love with this café. The ambience is superb as it’s the roof top and sitting there, having a cup of coffee with your loved ones under the stars is obviously a splendid experience. You must visit it once if you haven’t visited it yet.

As I have talked about only coffee till now, don’t even think that they have only coffee to offer you. No, they have various tasty and delicious food items to offer. The few dishes which I personally would love to recommend, are as follows-

1. Chatpata Chilly Honey baby corn/chicken(Price – Rs.129 / Rs. 169)

2. Darjeeling special hot coffee.(Price - Rs.79)

3. Crispy Fish and Chips.(Price- Rs. 199)

4. Drums of Heaven. (Price- 169)

5. Hot steam Gyoza (momo) Corn Cheese/ Chicken (Price- Rs.129)

Apart from this, they also have STEAKS to offer you , which is again I think one of the very rare food items available in the suburb areas. FISH STEAK would cost you around 349 bucks and CHICKEN STEAK PLATTER would cost you around 329 bucks. Not only that they have different combo meal options to offer as in CHICKEN KHAO SUEY BOWL( A BURMESE DISH) costs 269 bucks, BURNT PAHARI CHICKEN AND JEERA RICE costs 249 bucks and many more. Trust me they have a wide range of food to offer.(emoticon).Since there’s DARJEELING in the name and DARJEELING remains Bengalis’ emotion, this café LITTLE DARJEELING deserves a visit.💓

Location: 99/40/A,I.C. Road, Rahara Rd, Above WFC, Khardah, Kolkata – 700118

If you have read history well in your school days (which I haven’t) you would know that from the year 1755 the urbanization of Serampore started with the arrival of Danes. And they had built the Danish Colonial Empire. They used to buy goods from Sheoraphuli hat which they used to export in the European Countries through the way of River Ganga and for this purpose they had taken lands which was situated closel
